CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mailbox: mailbox-test: don't free the reused channel
The RX channel can be aliased to the TX channel if it has a different
MMIO. This special case needs to be handled when freeing the channels
otherwise a double-free occurs. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nft_tunnel: fix use-after-free on object destroy
nft_tunnel_obj_destroy() calls metadata_dst_free() which directly
kfree()s the metadata_dst, ignoring the dst_entry refcount. Packets
that took a reference via dst_hold() in nft_tunnel_obj_eval() and
are still queued (e.g. in a netem qdisc) are left with a dangling
pointer. When these packets are eventually dequeued, dst_release()
operates on freed memory.
Replace metadata_dst_free() with dst_release() so the metadata_dst
is freed only after all references are dropped. The dst subsystem
already handles metadata_dst cleanup in dst_destroy() when
DST_METADATA is set. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix use-after-free of a deferred file_lock on double SMB2_CANCEL
A deferred byte-range lock (an SMB2_LOCK that blocks) registers an async work on
conn->async_requests via setup_async_work(), with cancel_fn =
smb2_remove_blocked_lock and cancel_argv[0] pointing at the struct file_lock.
When the request is cancelled, the worker frees the file_lock with
locks_free_lock() and takes the cancelled early-exit, which "goto out"s and never
reaches release_async_work() -- the only site that unlinks the work from
conn->async_requests and clears cancel_fn/cancel_argv. The work therefore stays
matchable on async_requests with a live cancel_fn pointing at the freed file_lock,
until connection teardown finally runs release_async_work().
smb2_cancel() fires cancel_fn unconditionally with no state guard, so a second
SMB2_CANCEL for the same AsyncId, arriving in that window, re-runs
smb2_remove_blocked_lock() on the freed file_lock -- a slab use-after-free:
BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __locks_delete_block
__locks_delete_block
locks_delete_block
ksmbd_vfs_posix_lock_unblock
smb2_remove_blocked_lock
smb2_cancel <- 2nd SMB2_CANCEL fires cancel_fn
handle_ksmbd_work
Allocated by ...: locks_alloc_lock <- smb2_lock
Freed by ...: locks_free_lock <- smb2_lock (cancelled branch)
... cache file_lock_cache of size 192
Reproduced on mainline with KASAN by an authenticated SMB client.
Skip a work whose state is already KSMBD_WORK_CANCELLED so its cancel callback
cannot be fired a second time. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: avoid double drm_exec_fini() in userq validate
When new_addition is true, amdgpu_userq_vm_validate() calls
drm_exec_fini(&exec) before iterating over the collected HMM ranges and
calling amdgpu_ttm_tt_get_user_pages().
If amdgpu_ttm_tt_get_user_pages() fails in that path, the code jumps to
unlock_all and calls drm_exec_fini(&exec) a second time on the same
exec object. drm_exec_fini() is not idempotent: it frees exec->objects
and may also drop exec->contended and finalize the ww acquire context.
Route that error path directly to the range cleanup once exec has
already been finalized.
Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool
and confirmed by code review.

| An unauthenticated
format string vulnerability exists in vlsvr in GeoVision GV-LPC2011 and
GV-LPC2211 V1.12 and earlier. The vulnerability is caused by improper handling
of externally controlled input during log message formatting in the login
processing path. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by sending
crafted login data, potentially causing information disclosure, memory
corruption, or a denial of service. |
| Nokia SR Linux is vulnerable to local privilege escalation vulnerability due to unsanitized format validation. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an authenticated user to execute arbitrary commands with superuser privileges. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: fix double free in create_space_info_sub_group() error path
When kobject_init_and_add() fails, the call chain is:
create_space_info_sub_group()
-> btrfs_sysfs_add_space_info_type()
-> kobject_init_and_add()
-> failure
-> kobject_put(&sub_group->kobj)
-> space_info_release()
-> kfree(sub_group)
Then control returns to create_space_info_sub_group(), where:
btrfs_sysfs_add_space_info_type() returns error
-> kfree(sub_group)
Thus, sub_group is freed twice.
Keep parent->sub_group[index] = NULL for the failure path, but after
btrfs_sysfs_add_space_info_type() has called kobject_put(), let the
kobject release callback handle the cleanup. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
spi: meson-spicc: Fix double-put in remove path
meson_spicc_probe() registers the controller with
devm_spi_register_controller(), so teardown already drops the
controller reference via devm cleanup.
Calling spi_controller_put() again in meson_spicc_remove()
causes a double-put. |
| A format string vulnerability has been found in the "alias" parameter of the Serial Param configuration page in the NPort W2150A-W4/W2250A-W4 Series version 1.5 and prior. This vulnerability stems from insufficient input validation and improper handling of externally supplied format strings. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted input to the web service, causing unintended memory disclosure. Successful exploitation may allow an attacker to leak sensitive memory contents and determine critical memory addresses, potentially bypassing Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) protections. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/mlx5: fw_tracer, Validate format string parameters
Add validation for format string parameters in the firmware tracer to
prevent potential security vulnerabilities and crashes from malformed
format strings received from firmware.
The firmware tracer receives format strings from the device firmware and
uses them to format trace messages. Without proper validation, bad
firmware could provide format strings with invalid format specifiers
(e.g., %s, %p, %n) that could lead to crashes, or other undefined
behavior.
Add mlx5_tracer_validate_params() to validate that all format specifiers
in trace strings are limited to safe integer/hex formats (%x, %d, %i,
%u, %llx, %lx, etc.). Reject strings containing other format types that
could be used to access arbitrary memory or cause crashes.
Invalid format strings are added to the trace output for visibility with
"BAD_FORMAT: " prefix. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in D-Link DCS-935L 1.10.01. This issue affects the function snprintf of the file /web/cgi-bin/greece/rhea of the component HTTP Handler. Such manipulation of the argument data leads to format string. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. |
| An
authenticated format string vulnerability exists in the ONVIF service of Tapo
C110 v2 due to improper handling of user-controlled input. Externally controlled data is interpreted as
a format string, which can be used to manipulate stack memory, including
control flow data such as return addresses.
A remote
authenticated attacker may redirect execution flow to existing internal
functions, triggering an unauthorized factory reset, leading to loss of
configuration, deletion of stored credentials and service disruption. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/rds: reset op_nents when zerocopy page pin fails
When iov_iter_get_pages2() fails in rds_message_zcopy_from_user(),
the pinned pages are released with put_page(), and
rm->data.op_mmp_znotifier is cleared. But we fail to properly
clear rm->data.op_nents.
Later when rds_message_purge() is called from rds_sendmsg() the
cleanup loop iterates over the incorrectly non zero number of
op_nents and frees them again.
Fix this by properly resetting op_nents when it should be in
rds_message_zcopy_from_user(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ice: fix double free in ice_sf_eth_activate() error path
When auxiliary_device_add() fails, ice_sf_eth_activate() jumps to
aux_dev_uninit and calls auxiliary_device_uninit(&sf_dev->adev).
The device release callback ice_sf_dev_release() frees sf_dev, but
the current error path falls through to sf_dev_free and calls
kfree(sf_dev) again, causing a double free.
Keep kfree(sf_dev) for the auxiliary_device_init() failure path, but
avoid falling through to sf_dev_free after auxiliary_device_uninit(). |
| Use after free in Web Apps in Google Chrome prior to 149.0.7827.103 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical) |
| Use after free in Bluetooth in Google Chrome on Mac prior to 149.0.7827.103 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| An authenticated format string vulnerability exists in the ONVIF Subscribe service in Tapo C520WS v2 due to improper handling of externally supplied parameters within formatting functions. An attacker may inject crafted format strings into event subscription requests or notification generation path to disrupt normal service execution.
Successful exploitation may cause the event notification service to terminate unexpectedly, resulting in the loss of real-time alarm functionality and disruption of event notifications. |
| An authenticated format string vulnerability is present in the ONVIF AddScopes in Tapo C520WS v2, where user-controlled input is improperly passed to formatting functions without adequate sanitization. An attacker can inject format specifiers into ONVIF scope parameters to manipulate memory handling behavior.
Successful exploitation may cause the ONVIF management service to crash, resulting in DoS condition that impacts normal device operation. |
