| When mongosqld is configured with a client certificate authority file, the listener requests a client certificate during the TLS handshake but does not require one, so a client that presents no certificate is still accepted. In deployments that rely on client certificates as the sole means of identifying users, a remote party with network access to the listener can therefore establish a session and read the MongoDB data exposed through the connector. |
| MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, when a Java application connects with sslMode=verify-full or sslMode=verify-ca, supplies a password, and does not configure serverSslCert or trustStore, Connector/J can accept an untrusted self-signed certificate through the fallbackToSystemTrustStore=true ephemeral trust manager and record its certFingerprint for later identity binding. The OK-packet and authentication-switch paths enforce the certificate fingerprint, but the initial-handshake path does not. HandshakeResponse.encode() can therefore build and send a mysql_clear_password response before checking certFingerprint != null && !isMitMProof(), sslMode, or whether the authentication plugin is resistant to a man-in-the-middle, and the initial path also bypasses restrictedAuth. An active man-in-the-middle or hostile server can present a self-signed certificate, claim to be MariaDB, select mysql_clear_password as the initial authentication plugin, and receive the full database password before the connection is rejected. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9. |
| phpSysInfo is a customizable PHP script that displays system information. Prior to 3.4.6, the PSI_ALLOWED access-control check in read_config.php trusts attacker-controlled X-Forwarded-For and Client-IP HTTP headers before REMOTE_ADDR. A remote unauthenticated attacker can supply an allowed address in one of these headers to impersonate a trusted client and access exposed hostname, kernel, CPU, memory, filesystem, and network-interface information. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.6. |
| Traffic interception vulnerability in BOSH Director vCenter CPI allows attackers positioned between BOSH Director and vCenter to impersonate vCenter REST API and capture administrator credentials via HTTP Basic auth, leading to complete virtualization infrastructure takeover.
An attacker who can intercept traffic between the BOSH Director and vCenter can establish a malicious server impersonating the vCenter REST API. When the BOSH Director makes CPI calls to perform routine cloud infrastructure operations, the attacker captures the vCenter administrator username and password transmitted via HTTP Basic authentication.
The vulnerability stems from insufficient authentication security in the communication protocol between BOSH Director and vCenter. While HTTPS may be used, the lack of proper certificate validation and pinning allows attackers to successfully impersonate vCenter endpoints. Because vCenter credentials typically grant full administrative control over the entire virtualization estate, successful credential capture yields complete takeover of every VM, datastore, and network the CPI manages.
This exposure exists on every CPI call (including routine deployment operations, not just when tags are configured) and cannot be mitigated by supplying a CA certificate alone. The attack impacts all infrastructure managed by the compromised vCenter instance, potentially affecting hundreds or thousands of VMs across multiple deployments and environments. |

| X-AnyLabeling's model downloader disabled TLS certificate verification. download_with_retry in anylabeling/services/auto_labeling/model.py built a context with ssl._create_unverified_context() and passed it to urllib.request.urlopen, so neither the certificate chain nor the hostname was checked on any model download, and models are fetched over HTTPS from the project's release host. Any party positioned to intercept that connection could therefore answer it with content of their own choosing. The response is written to a .part file and moved into place with os.replace, and the only post-download check, safe_check_model, validates the file's format rather than its provenance: no hash or signature is compared against an expected value. For an ONNX target the substituted file passes onnx.checker.check_model and is then used for inference, so the attacker chooses the model that produces the application's annotations. For a .pth or .pt target, which the shipped SAM2 video, YOLOE, UPN and open_vision configurations use, the check worker calls torch.load without weights_only, so a substituted file is unpickled and executes code of the attacker's choosing on PyTorch releases predating the weights_only default. |

| TarsWeb decides whether a request comes from a trusted local caller using a client-controlled header. app.js sets Koa's proxy option to true without naming which upstream proxies may be trusted and without limiting the number of forwarded hops, so the request address Koa reports is taken from the X-Forwarded-For header supplied by the caller. In midware/ssoMidware.js a single branch covers both the ignored-path list and the ignoreIps allowlist from config/loginConf.js, which contains the loopback address, and that branch assigns the effective account identity from the uid query parameter before falling through to the request without validating any ticket, cookie or password. A request carrying a forged X-Forwarded-For value naming the loopback address and a uid naming an existing account therefore reaches every route the console mounts as that account, including an administrator, with no credential of any kind. Those routes include user and role administration, service configuration, and package upload and deployment. Version 3.0.16 separates the two branches so that a match on the address allowlist assigns the configured default account rather than one named by the caller. |

| In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, an unauthenticated user could spoof the source IP address in a crafted request to an Automation Broker notification endpoint and execute arbitrary code on the Splunk SOAR host. The vulnerability is possible because the Splunk SOAR Automation Broker trusts a client-supplied source IP address header as proof that the request originates from the local system. Successful exploitation can expose all relevant data, affect system integrity, and disrupt service availability.
