CVSS v3.1 |
| Network-AI is a TypeScript/Node.js multi-agent orchestrator. Prior to version 5.12.2, `EnvironmentManager.backup()` recursively collects files using `_collectBackupFiles()`. `_collectBackupFiles()` uses `statSync(full)`, which follows symlinks. If `data/<env>` contains a symlink to a directory outside the environment root, backup recursion follows the symlink and copies external files into `data/<env>/.backups/<backupId>/`. An attacker who can place a symlink under the environment data directory can cause backup operations to disclose files outside the environment root into backup artifacts. The issue is fixed in v5.12.2. `_collectBackupFiles()` now uses `lstatSync` instead of `statSync` and skips any entry where `isSymbolicLink()` is true. Symlinks are never traversed, so `backup()` can no longer follow a link out of the environment root and copy external files into a backup artifact. |

| When the Mira Android app opens in-app WebView content (e.g., shop redirect flows), the user's live session token is appended to the URL as a query string parameter, and a persistent user identifier is included in the WebView's User-Agent header. Both are then transmitted to third-party web properties, referrer logs, and any JavaScript running in the WebView context. |
| The affected TP-Link Aginet devices do not properly validate symbolic links created on external USB storage
devices. By placing a crafted symbolic link on supported storage media, an
attacker may cause the system to resolve the link.
Successful
exploitation may allow unauthorized read access to sensitive files within the
device filesystem. |
| Microsoft is aware of an elevation of privilege in the Microsoft Malware Protection Engine in Microsoft Defender publicly referred to as "RoguePlanet ". |
| An Improper link resolution before file access ('link following') vulnerability in the File Shredder module as used in Bitdefender Total Security and Internet Security on Windows allows a less-privileged local user to elevate rights by leveraging a race conditions via Symbolic Links.
This issue affects Total Security: before 27.0.58.315; Internet Security: before 27.0.58.315. |
| File::Rotate::Simple versions before 0.4.0 for Perl create the target of dangling symlinks when rotating files.
When the file to be rotated is a symbolic link to a missing file, and the touch option is enabled, then the rotate method assumes that the file is absent (since the existence check is against the target), and does not rotate it. But it touches the file, which creates the target.
An attacker that has the ability to create the symlink can use this to create an arbitrary file with permissions of the process rotating the files (which may be different from the process that normally writes to the log file that is being rotated).
Note that the touch option is disabled by default. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: iwlwifi: mld: don't dereference a pointer before NULL checking it
In iwl_mld_remove_link, the link->fw_id is saved at the beginning of the
function so we have it after we freed the link.
But the link pointer can be NULL, and is not checked when the fw_id is
stored.
Fix it by simply freeing the link at the end of the function.
fFixes: 0e66a39f4f0e ("wifi: iwlwifi: fix potential use after free in iwl_mld_remove_link()") |
| A flaw was found in Go. When FIPS mode is enabled on a system, container runtimes may incorrectly handle certain file paths due to improper validation in the containers/common Go library. This flaw allows an attacker to exploit symbolic links and trick the system into mounting sensitive host directories inside a container. This issue also allows attackers to access critical host files, bypassing the intended isolation between containers and the host system. |
| tar-rs versions 0.4.11 through 0.4.46 contain a symlink escape vulnerability in the Builder::append_dir_all() function that allows attackers to read files outside the intended source root directory by planting symlinks in an attacker-controlled directory. When a privileged process archives an untrusted directory, the function follows symlinks without verifying that resolved targets remain within the source root, causing out-of-bounds files to be included in the archive as regular files and disclosed to the attacker. |
| Local unprivileged users can terminate arbitrary local processes via a systemd-oomd IPC API due to a missing path traversal validation. |
| tarfile.extractall() with the 'data' or 'tar'
filter could be bypassed by a crafted archive where a hardlink
references a symlink stored at a deeper name than the hardlink itself.
The extraction fallback validated the symlink at it's archived location
but recreated it at the hardlink's shallower
path, letting a relative
target the filter judged contained escape the destination directory.
This allowed a malicious tar archive to create a symlink pointing
outside the destination, enabling out-of-destination file reads or
writes. This was an incomplete fix of CVE-2025-4330. |

| Nx is a monorepo solution for TypeScript and polyglot codebases. From version 20.8.0 until 22.7.7 and 23.0.2, the Nx self-hosted HTTP remote cache extracts downloaded cache artifacts without constraining where files are written. A malicious or on-path (MITM) remote cache server can return a crafted tar archive whose entries escape the cache directory and write to arbitrary locations on the machine running Nx, which can be escalated to remote code execution. Nx's default local cache and Nx Cloud are not affected; only workspaces configured to use a self-hosted remote cache are affected. This issue is fixed in versions 22.7.7 and 23.0.2. |
