CVSS v3.1 |
| fs_read_glyphs() in the libXfont2 font-server client (src/fc/fserve.c) indexes the per-character encoding[] array using num_chars from the FS_QueryXBitmaps16 reply, but that array was allocated with a size derived from num_extents in the separate FS_QueryXExtents16 reply. The two CARD32 fields are never cross-checked.
A malicious or compromised font server can send a small num_extents (e.g. 1) in the extents reply, then a large num_chars (e.g. 100000) in the bitmaps reply. This causes attacker-controlled out-of-bounds heap read and writes. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: conntrack: remove sprintf usage
Replace it with scnprintf, the buffer sizes are expected to be large enough
to hold the result, no need for snprintf+overflow check.
Increase buffer size in mangle_content_len() while at it.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs/smb/client: fix out-of-bounds read in cifs_sanitize_prepath
When cifs_sanitize_prepath is called with an empty string or a string
containing only delimiters (e.g., "/"), the current logic attempts to
check *(cursor2 - 1) before cursor2 has advanced. This results in an
out-of-bounds read.
This patch adds an early exit check after stripping prepended
delimiters. If no path content remains, the function returns NULL.
The bug was identified via manual audit and verified using a
standalone test case compiled with AddressSanitizer, which
triggered a SEGV on affected inputs. |
| Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in mod_proxy_ajp of Apache HTTP Server.
If mod_proxy_ajp connects to a malicious AJP server this AJP server can send a malicious AJP message back to mod_proxy_ajp and cause it to write 4 attacker controlled bytes after the end of a heap based buffer.
This issue affects Apache HTTP Server: through 2.4.66.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.67, which fixes the issue. |
| An OS command injection vulnerability in Palo Alto Networks Checkov by Prisma® Cloud enables a local user to execute arbitrary commands in the processes running Checkov. |
| An out-of-bounds read in the gf_dm_data_received function (downloader.c) of GPAC v26.07.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via sending a crafted HTTP request. Fixed in 2fd5a06ab226767900fd86edb5a1e8bfc1010640. |
| A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Fortinet FortiOS 7.6.0 through 7.6.3, FortiOS 7.4.0 through 7.4.8, FortiOS 7.2.0 through 7.2.11, FortiOS 7.0.0 through 7.0.17, FortiOS 6.4 all versions, FortiSwitchManager 7.2.0 through 7.2.6, FortiSwitchManager 7.0.0 through 7.0.5 allows attacker to execute unauthorized code or commands via specially crafted packets |
| Out-of-bounds write in Samsung Notes prior to version 4.4.45.5 allows local attackers to write out-of-bounds memory. |
| A flaw was found in dracut. The die() error-handling function writes its message into a shell script under the initramfs emergency-hook directory without properly shell-quoting it. When the message contains data derived from the DHCP ROOT_PATH option, an attacker on the adjacent network who controls a rogue DHCP server can inject a command-substitution sequence that executes as root the next time dracut sources its emergency hook scripts during standard boot-failure handling. |
| A flaw was found in dracut. A remote attacker on the adjacent network can exploit this vulnerability by providing specially crafted DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) options, such as a malicious hostname, to a system using dracut's legacy DHCP path. These options are improperly handled and written into temporary shell scripts without proper escaping, leading to command injection. This allows the attacker to achieve root code execution within the initramfs, potentially compromising the system's boot and network behavior. |
| An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the JPEG2000Codec::DecodeByStreamsCommon functionality of Mathieu Malaterre Grassroot DICOM 3.0.23. A specially crafted DICOM file can lead to a heap buffer overflow. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. |
| An out-of-bounds write in the SmiFlash SMM module of ASUS FA507NU and FA507NV BIOS allows a local administrator to cause a system crash (BSOD) or BIOS corruption via a crafted software SMI (SW SMI) request with an oversized length value.Refer to the '
Security Update for ASUS FA507NV / FA507NU BIOS ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| Out-of-bounds write in libsavsac.so prior to SMR Jul-2026 Release 1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/rxe: Fix OOB in free_rd_atomic_resources()
free_rd_atomic_resources() iterates using qp->attr.max_dest_rd_atomic.
Updating max_dest_rd_atomic before freeing the old array can make the
free path walk past the old allocation and trigger a slab out-of-bounds
write catched by KASAN:

| Out of bounds write in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| A memory corruption vulnerability exists in FFmpeg before 8.1. The RTP encoding process. In the nal_send function in libavformat/rtpenc_h264_hevc.c, a negative size parameter (size=-3) is passed to memcpy when transmitting H.264/HEVC streams via RTP using a crafted input file. This was detected using AddressSanitizer. |
| Improper neutralization of special elements used in an os command ('os command injection') in Azure HDInsights allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. |
| OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image format, widely used in the motion picture industry. OpenEXR versions 3.1.0 through 3.2.10, 3.3.0 through 3.3.12, and 3.4.0 through 3.4.13 are vulnerable on ILP32 builds to an out-of-bounds write. When a crafted B44-compressed scanline EXR causes the logical scratch size to truncate before allocation and uncompress_b44_impl() writes using the attacker-controlled channel width, allowing denial of service and memory corruption. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.11, 3.3.13, and 3.4.14. |
| kin-openapi is a Go project for handling OpenAPI files. From 0.124.0 until 0.142.0, openapi3filter.sliceMapToSlice in openapi3filter/req_resp_decoder.go converts attacker-controlled sparse indexes from a deepObject query parameter into a dense slice by allocating entries from zero through the largest supplied index, after which buildResObj creates another slice of the same length. This allocation occurs before schema validation, so maxItems does not prevent it. An unauthenticated client can send a small query such as param[items][50000000]=x to an endpoint whose deepObject schema contains an array, forcing multi-gigabyte heap allocation and causing an OOM kill or restart loop. Other request-body encodings and styled parameters that do not produce bracketed integer indexes are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.142.0. |
| VLC media player computes the size of a picture buffer with 32-bit arithmetic and allocates from the wrapped result. In AllocatePicture in src/misc/picture.c the running total is accumulated as i_bytes += p->i_pitch * p->i_lines, and both plane_t fields are declared int in include/vlc_picture.h, so the multiplication is evaluated at 32 bits and wraps before it is widened to the size_t accumulator. The overflow check that precedes it divides in 64-bit arithmetic and therefore does not constrain the product, and the subsequent comparison against PICTURE_SW_SIZE_MAX examines the already wrapped value, so both guards pass. aligned_alloc then reserves the small wrapped size while the decoder writes scanlines sized from the original dimensions. A crafted PNG whose IHDR declares large width and height reaches this path through the image demuxer, whose only size guard is on the input file's byte count rather than the declared dimensions, and the decoder in modules/codec/png.c writes past the end of the allocation with attacker-influenced length and content. Opening the file directly or through a playlist entry is sufficient, with no non-default settings. |
