| n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 2.37.7 and 2.38.2, the Instance AI workflow summary used node names and connection keys from stored workflows as ordinary object keys. A workflow submitted through the REST API could contain __proto__ or constructor, causing nested writes to reach Object.prototype in the main n8n process and disrupt later requests. The affected function is summarizeWorkflowStructure in packages/@n8n/instance-ai/src/tools/workflows/summarize-workflow.ts. This issue is fixed in versions 2.37.7 and 2.38.2. | ||||

| The nscd service in the GNU C Library 2.3.4 onwards may crash due to a stack overflow when a malicious DNS server returns too large a response for a DNS query, resulting in degraded DNS resolution for the system. Exploitation of this bug needs a system that has nscd enabled and using an untrusted DNS server for name resolution, with the compromised DNS server being capable of processing records large enough to result in a stack overflow in an nscd thread stack. During experimentation, bind 9 was unable to handle large records, but that could change in future or with a different name server. In typical installations, nscd is executed in an isolated context as its own user without a shell, due to which any compromise of that service is isolated. There is a remote possibility of nscd cache corruption if an attacker manages to get the stack pointer into a desired point in the heap, potentially resulting in other caches in nscd being overwritten with corrupt data through the stack overflow, until the buggy code path eventually results in a crash. Finally, a crash in nscd may result in performance degradation when resolving names, but it does not result in a denial of service. | ||||

| A flaw was found in libtiff. A heap-buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the `tiff2pdf` utility due to an integer truncation error when processing crafted BigTIFF files. An attacker can provide a specially crafted BigTIFF file, causing a 64-bit `StripByteCounts` value to be truncated to a 32-bit integer. This leads to an undersized memory allocation and a subsequent out-of-bounds memory copy, resulting in a crash and severe memory corruption. | ||||

| A flaw was found in the Qute template engine, which is used by Quarkus to generate dynamic content like HTML pages or emails. The issue exists in the component responsible for looking up data values (ReflectionValueResolver), which fails to properly block access to sensitive Java internal functions when processing certain data types like Enums. | PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit 4472a31, a stack buffer overflow exists in the PJLIB-UTIL telnet CLI front-end when rendering feedback for an entered command line. Several command-line handling paths write an attacker-influenced amount of data into fixed-size buffers without sufficient bounds checking, so a long command line can overflow them. This affects only applications that enable the telnet CLI front-end (e.g. pj_cli_telnet_create() / --cli-telnet-port). The telnet CLI is an interactive administration interface with no authentication, so any client able to reach it can already issue arbitrary CLI commands. A malformed or overly long command line can overflow a fixed-size stack buffer while rendering command-line feedback, which may lead to application termination. Because reaching this code already requires access to the unauthenticated CLI, the impact beyond that existing access is limited. Applications that do not enable the telnet CLI front-end are not affected. This issue has been patched via commit 4472a31. | ||||

The line-redraw sequence for a recalled history entry can accumulate more data than a fixed-size stack buffer holds, which may lead to application termination. Exploitation requires access to the unauthenticated telnet CLI, which already permits arbitrary CLI commands, so the additional impact is limited. | Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 20.3.30, 21.2.22, and 22.1.4, Angular server-side rendering (SSR) in @angular/platform-server serializes ProcessingInstruction DOM nodes inside fallback raw-content elements without escaping matching ancestor closing tags. ProcessingInstruction data escaped greater-than characters but left less-than characters untouched and did not inspect fallback ancestors, so data such as a matching closing tag prematurely terminates noscript, iframe, noembed, or noframes containers. The vulnerable nodes cannot be authored through standard Angular templates; reachability requires application or library code using inject(DOCUMENT).createProcessingInstruction with attacker-controlled data or Renderer2 DOM insertion inside a fallback container. In HTML5 RAWTEXT parsing, the premature close causes subsequent sibling elements to be interpreted as live HTML and enables arbitrary JavaScript execution in a victim's browser. This issue is fixed in versions 20.3.30, 21.2.22, and 22.1.4. | ||||

| PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit 8d5956a, a heap buffer overflow exists in the PJLIB-UTIL HTTP client (http_client.c) when buffering an HTTP response body. This affects applications that use the PJLIB-UTIL HTTP client to receive a whole response body at once (a completion callback with no incremental on_data_read callback). When growing the response buffer, an incorrect size calculation based on the server-supplied Content-Length can leave the buffer too small, causing response data to be written past the end of the allocation. A malicious or man-in-the-middle HTTP server can trigger this with a crafted response; impact may range from unexpected application termination to memory corruption. Applications that consume the response incrementally (via on_data_read), or that only connect to trusted servers, are not affected. This issue has been patched via commit 8d5956a. | ||||
